Any negative item will stay in your credit report for 7 years. After 7 years, the negative items are removed from the credit report. However, chapter 7 bankruptcy will stay in your credit report for 10 years.

What happens if the collection agency sells to another collection agency within those 7 years.
Does that mean you have to wait another 7 years or pay them and send the a letter of GW to remove negatives.
