CA Still Marking Credit Report
Date: Mon, 07/13/2009 - 11:33
I had sent off a debt validation letter via certified mail, and got the return receipt signed by the CA. It's been 3 months now and I've heard NOTHING from the CA - yet they continue to mark my credit report as "Unpaid".
I tried contacting a few people off NACA.NET but most didn't seem interested in helping. Some only wanted to help if I had been denied credit as a result... others were too busy, etc.
So I'm at a loss what to do now... Should I contact the credit bureau's and send them a letter telling them what has happened along with a copy of the original collection letter, a copy of my validation request letter, and copies of the receipts from the postal service?
The CA is Delmarva Collections and is for an old Cingular Wireless bill.

Yes, definitely. They at least need to mark the tradeline as Disputed.
