New to the forum.
Here is my question.
I have a couple of account, in my report which is open since 2001, according to the state in which I live, the SOL is 4years. I have disputed the item in my credit report but it is showing that it has been updated without the deletion. What can I do?

SOL does not affect credit reporting as you think it does. Negative info on a credit report stays for 7 years (10 if BK chap 7, or a judgment).
If a debt becomes out of statute it doesnt mean that you do not
If a debt becomes out of statute it doesnt mean that you do not owe it. It simply means that if a debt collector harasses you for a debt on which the SOL has run out, you can use this "out of statute" thing as your defense.
This is wat i know. If i'm wrong then someone please correct me.......
