what is the best way to dispute things on your credit report and what types of things can you dispute. Also we just got received a cancellation of debt from one of my husbands creditors. What exactly is that and what does it mean as far a that debt and my husbands credit? :?:

when you consolidate debt what does that do as far as your credit report is concerned. In other words does it show those accounts as being paid due to consolidation?

Welcome to the forums :D To dispute items on your credit report, you can do it through mail (certified) or online. I personally like doing them online b/c it is much faster and is cheaper. You can access your reports @ www.equifax.com , www.experian.com , and www.transunion.com Good luck and let me know if you need any help. :D

great advice natdust20. :)

Watsonfour, be sure to get all three reports and compare the information on them. I had to dispute a few things on mine and it was much easier doing them online. But for Equifax I had to mail in my request and also transunion couldn't do those 2 online.

Good luck and keep us posted.
