I trying to clear up my credit debt. I stop me from getting a job i worked hard to get. Well it stooped me from becoming permeant . Iv been reading many stories about how to fix debt on here. But i have a couple of questions. I have allot of phone company charges on my credit that seem like there charging me multiple time for. I have a
1.Midland Cred -Its from a Southwestern Bell. I dont remember using this phone service. I read you can send a DV, what is the DV letter and is there a form to help me complete one so im not send a dear john letter to this company. They say i owe $584 Opened 4/2006 ,Verif'd 4/2008
2Then there Paragonway 12 County Bank Of Rehoboth $401.00 Open 5/2005 Verif'd 6/2007
3.CMI-Time warner $139.00 Opened 5/2005 Verif'd 4/2006
And there 3 more but all with verzon. It funny how i have 3 with verizon and there all three different amount.
My concern is if i call these companies , and try to pay them off. What form of documentation do i need to get to show i paid them. Also is there any way to get payments lowered. I got one letter from one of the verizon account that say if i call I could pay it off for a lower payment. But what's to say it will come off my credit once i payed. After the collection is payed, what do i need to do next to show they I paid and that I want them off my credit report. I hope im making since. This is just overwhelming when you miss a big job opportunity because of your credit background.
Thank you for the help, this site and comment from other has opened my eyes big time.

You are going to have to bite the bullet and pay these debts. The duplicates on the verizon is probably the same account, but you need to check with them to be sure. then you can dispute that to the Big 3 because it is inaccurate. Next, you need to decide how much you can pay on each debt. i would ask for a settlement for about 50% of the balance owed and send them a Pay For Delete letter. Based on what you posted, it doesn't seem as though the amounts are too high, so I think you are in good shape, even though i know it doesn't feel like you are.

Thank you for resounding. Ya i kinda thought i would have to just pay them off. But i have a couple of more questions. What is a pay for Delete letter. Does this go to the Big 3 credit bureaus. Also what is the time limit for them to take it off my credit report. Once i get this off will my credit score go higher or I will have to make another account , that I pay on monthly to show I have a good record of paying on time, or just leave as is. And it will go up in time.
