Changes to Equifax

Hi all..
I have 2 credit cards that are closed. And are under my "negative accounts" since they are closed and I still owe a balance. I started making payments on both of them again in April, and the "Current Status" said on May 2nd "pays 61-90 days" and I just checked and it now shows "paid as agreed".
My questions are:
1. Will they move over to good account status since I am making payments again? (or will it stay under Negative since it in fact a closed account?)
2. Will this change of status improve anything on my credit report? (my score, etc?)
Thanks!

Negative accounts whether paid or not, will stay there in your report as negative for 7 years and 180 days from the date of your delinquency. If it is paid, it will get reflected in your report as "paid as agreed", but will still be considered a negative account.
