I just pulled my credit report from Transunion. I found a couple of errors which I know how to fix but...I also found 2 or 3 items being reported with "Date updated" of mid 2007. All of these items are over 7 years old originally and 2 of them were included in my BK 5 yrs. ago.
How/what do I do to have these removed or reported correctly. It looks like they are still trying to collect on them. How can they update it when it's so old??

"Date Updated" is the last time when a new information was reported to Transunion. So, you might be correct in your guess that someone is trying to cash in on the items that were discharged in the bankruptcy or on the items that are beyond SOL. In my opinion its nothing but an example of bad tactics used by the third party collectors to get whatever they can from the borrowers.
