Experian CR, falsely validated
Date: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 20:05
I have a question? Over the past year, I have disputed an item on my CR's. I disputed the item with Transunion and Equifax through my free anual credit report. The item was deleted because it could not be validated and they took their 45 days. I just desputed the same account with Experian through myidentity. They only had 30 days. Well they can back in like 7-10 days and said they validated the account and it remains on my CR. Frustrated! This account is BS! How do I go about contacting Experian and re-opening the dispute. I don't want to do it online again. Should I bring up the fact that Transunion and Equifax couldn't validate the acct and deleted it? Thanks in advance! Any info would help!

Well, I would suggest you to go to annualcreditreport.com and pull out the free credit report, which you are accredited to by law every 12 months. After you get the report you can definitely go ahead for an altercation via phone or by the address which I believe will be there on the report.
The address that I have with me, is:
Experian /NCAC
Po Box 9556
Allen, Texas 75013
888-493-1058.
Hope this will help you.

Yeah they aer doing the same crap with me, I have been fighting with them tooth and nail. They even had the guts to clear a dispute in 4 days. I guess all they did was call and ask if I was in the CA's database. So I fired off a validation letter to the CA's and today it has been one month and I have not gotten anything back from them. So tomorrow when I get off of work I am calling Experian and telling them then need to remove the item because the CA can not validate it.

Thanks. I wasn't sure how to go about this. Should I send a validation letter to Experian questioning how they validated the account? Or should I send a validation letter to the university who says I owe them money? I was afraid of sending the university anything in fear of re-starting the seven years. As of now it will come off in 2013. What do you think is the proper recourse?

I would send one of the Validation letter list on this site to the the company that is listed on your credit report. Give them 30 days to respond then contact the CRA and informthem that the CA did not validate the debt and you would like it remove, and send them a copy of the letter you sent to the CA and a copy of the return receipt that was signed by the company.
Sending a Validation letter does NOT restart the SOL or reporting on debts.

Hi Queencrs,
If the inaccuracies are still there and you want to get it removed from your credit report, you can send Experian a letter to dispute account status.
You can refer to the sample letter for disputing:

I am having the same problem with Experian and Equifax. For the last year both have continued to state, that the LVNV debt, on my credit report belongs to me. I have disputed and asked for verification and validation. Both credit agencies repeatedly refuse to remove LVNV. The account it not mine.

What information do you have that proves the account is not yours? Have you been contacted by LVNV, Resurgent Capital or any CA representing LVNV?
