I've spoken with a manager at the collection agency who has told me that there is no information on the account, and I have even provided this information to Experian....who yet again tell me that as long as the account is marked as disputed under the FCRA there is nothing they can do.
I have tried to file a dispute with the BBB but all they sent me was a letter saying that they cant get involved in these types of disputes, and I need to contact the business whom I have the issue with....I am pretty much at my wits end. Any suggestions on what I can do next because I am pretty much at a loss on what my next move should be....
Thanks all for your time.

i know its an expensive route but doing it yourself you will be jumping thru loopholes and get nowhere!

I actually agree with AJ. Except i would go to a nonprofit counseling agency that will take on the "case." A third party company will make headway when you seem to be running in circles. Once a third party gets involved, most collection agencies/credit bureaus know they are dealing with a company more "connected" than yourself and magically things start to happen.

Thanks you guys for the info. I am actually pretty good at disputing these things on my own. From 23 negatives, I've actually gone down to only 5 baddies left. So the question is really what my next step should be. I know that they only have 30 days under the new Facta 312, and I have been disputing and requesting validation since june 29th to no avail. I just dont know what to do at this point because experian keeps verifying, yet they keep telling me they have no info.

I disagree. I wouldn't pay anyone to do something you can do yourself. Have you written a letter to Experian and included copies of your letters and return receipts? I would do that, telling them this company refuses to validate this debt and you demand that they remove it from your report due to that fact.

Well I have written letters to them, but they havent sent me any validation. When they tell me they dont have information it has been over the phone. So I have really no actual proof that they dont have the info except the fact that they dont have any records
You need to send your request for validation to Equinox via cert
You need to send your request for validation to Equinox via certified mail with a return receipt requested. When you get the receipt back, that proves that Equinox received your request. When they don't respond to your request, you then make a copy of the letter you sent to them and the return receipt and enclose those in your letter(s) to the credit bureau(s) as proof that your debt has not been validated.
