hey... I am not too sure what to do. I have debt but two low credit cardswith like 400.00 balances and student loans and lil stuff like sprint and other medical bills. Between all the debt it totals to about 14,000 what are my options. i have gotten some $ recently and am wanting to buy a house in the next few years. It is of course impt. that i repair this now. I am in school and have been able to defer the payments until i graduate, the problem is before i got back into school i was 180 days late on tem so it shows up as a negative mark.
My question is how do i know which past amounts to pay first to get my credit score up. Fyi my credit score as of today is 510 :(
Any advice is appreciated
Heather

There is nothing you will be able to do about the student loan lates...you should have applied for a deferment or forebearance to avoid the late pays. Only time will heal these negatives. Use your money to pay off your other accounts. If your loans are subsidized (meaning no interest) and you have money left over, save it towards your house.

You should get hold of your credit report immediately. Your credit report will mention the amount that you owe to your creditors. You can, then, contact your creditors and start paying them off. You can, even, negotiate for a payment plan so that it becomes easier for you to pay off the debts. Once you start paying off the debts, you credit scores will start increasing. As far as student loans are concerned, you should follow the advice of Soaplady.
