request for conduct of investigation from credit bureaus
Date: Fri, 11/16/2007 - 18:12
After a disputed item comes back "verified" from the credit bureaus, what can I send to ask for a detailed dessciption of the investigation? From what I have learned, a lot of times the bureaus will not do a very good job of really validating the debt.
Is there a time limit in which the credit bureau has to respond to my request how they conducted the investigation?
Do I then dispute again?
I think I have a couple of old VERY SHADY CAs on my reports, (re-aging debts, wrong dates of deliquency, both being reported for over 7 yrs)and I am not convinced the credit bureaus are going to investigate it to the extent I would like.
Any advice would be wonderful. This site is amazing!
