You need to contact the court where they got the judgement and file a motion for non service to have the judgement set aside. They will probably then immediately file against you at your new address.

Soaplady gives good advice-- we all have the right to be notified of claims against us and an opportunity to be heard. Here in Connecticut, you file a "motion to open judgment". Usually the lawyers doing the collecting are cool about it-- if they realize they didn't properly serve you, they don't want to look foolish in front of the court by having you testify that you were not served; they usually agree to let the judgment open. But be prepared to try to make payment arrangements or defend yourself if you get the judgment opened. If you can pay it off before judgment enters again (this time with your knowledge), it will keep it off your credit. As for the judgment currently on your credit, it will only come off if it is opened up. Paying it now without opening, it will just say "paid" or "satisfied." And because the credit bureaus use a service to obtain public record/court information, disputing it to the bureaus won't help because it is a part of the public record.
