We owned our house for 14 1/2 yrs now.We had refine 3yrs ago took out 50k. Did some home improvement.Failed behind 3 mths,The bank had stopped taking payments. So we found housing service which represent you in court. We went (3) times to court, and the last court appearance- we was denied mortage mod. Now bank stated do to the 50K. they want to see how the cash was spent, (Home improvement or medical hardship) they didn't underline is it a percentage or not needed? Now do to the fact the time in court and from before not paying the mortage. Please what's my opinions.(The only thing I heard in court from my 2 advisors- This bank is the worst)This bank didn't take the President's offer. Please advise.......Thanks sooo much

It's little surprising that the lender has asked about how the money was spent. You may call up the lender and ask whether you should be giving that in percentage or otherwise.

Regarding the President's loan modification program, it wasn't mandatory for the lender to participate in it. However, you may still reapply to the lender for a modification. Often times, when you discuss the issue directly with the lender you stand better chance of getting approved.
