After a lot of negotiation, I have finally paid off medical debt. But the debt is still there on my credit report. What to do.

If you settle your medical debts, your account should be marked as "paid as settled". If, your account still showing that you owe that debt, then contact the organization to update your accunt as soon as possible.

If it's so, how is it updated? It should be marked as "Paid off" or "Paid As Settled" if you've settled the debt. Medical debt affects your credit report if it goes to a collection agency. It is added to a credit report after it's due for 180 days.
Since you've paid off, send a letter tp the concerned organizations asking to update the account status correctly. A negative listing on a medical report usually stays for 7 years.
You should ask to update the status of the account correctly.
