I have sent debt validation letters to a number of collection agencies which appear on my credit reports for medical debts. Can someone tell me precisely what documents they should send me copies of that constitute validation of these debts? Do any of them have to contain my signature?

Thanks very much!

Usually for a medical office visit, you sign financial liability paperwork the first time you visit. You dont sign for individual charges. So a billing statement would probably suffice.

Most medical debts are worked third party so if you had any doubts, call the providers office directly.
