What happens if someon accidentally misses payment on my credit ca?

hi i accidentally missed 1 payment on my credit card due to returned check can i ask the credit card company to remove that negativity from my credit report or can they work with me to fix it?. iv been paying the payments on time ever since and planing on paying it off completely in a month Credit limit is 1200$
