Hi, I am thinking about getting my credit report online. Does anyone know where should I search first?

As per the federal law you can get a copy of your credit report annually from all 3 credit reporting agencies - Experian®, Equifax® and TransUnion®, once in every 12 months. Apart from that you try - freecreditreport(dot)com.

I would advice you to check your credit report once in every 3 months. This would help you understand if you're walking on the right direction.

Yes, I agree with SC. It is always better to monitor your credit reports at regular intervals so that you can dispute any incorrect items and get it rectified.
