Pay Speedy Cash Directly or CA? (Defaulted Internet PDL)

I have defaulted on an internet loan from Speedy Cash. I have received a letter from the CA (Ad Astra Recovery to be exact) with the correct balance I owe to Speedy Cash. I have then logged onto my account on Speedy Cash.com and I had the option to submit a payment directly to Speedy Cash. If I could still pay on the Speedy Cash website, then why did they send me to a collection agency? If I pay directly to Speedy Cash, then what should I do about the collection agency?

Also, the CA nor Speedy Cash appeared on my credit report as of 7-21-2013.
I would call their corp
I would call their corp office to make sure that it has not been sold off and make arrangements with them for payments if it has not been.. also then if you can make arrangements with Speedy directly - just send a Cease and Desist letter to the collection agency, tell them you are working with the original lender..
