There is no short cut route to increase your credit score quickly. I would also advise you to not run to the credit repairing agencies which promises you to raise your credit score within a few days. That is just impossible. Don't become a victim of such scams.

Keep on adding positive information on your credit report. This will help you increase your credit score gradually. The exact time will depend upon the extent to which your credit score has suffered due to any negative items on your credit report.

Make sure payments on mortgage, installment loans, car loan, credit cards are timely. You can let the utilities be a couple days late. Don't let any outstanding medical co-pays go to collection. Also do not charge anything else - your score is also based on your credit utilization - the ratio of credit available and what you've used.

Do not apply for additional credit.
