bureau change from "claim filed" to "paid in full by claim".. good?

Well, it's all in the thread title. I spoke with a creditor today regarding two debts that were paid in full a couple of years ago but which never had their status changed on my credit report. Asked the guy if he'd change them to "paid in full" or at least "paid in full by claim" so that when I apply for credit, people stop telling me that I have too many open accounts with too much owed. He put me on hold then came back and said he submitted to have them changed to "accurately reflect" my status as paid in full by claim.
Is this any better in the eyes of people looking at my credit report than if I had left those two accounts as "claim filed"?
Thanks!

The 'paid in full' status would definitely look good on your report. Lenders prefer to see more accounts in good standing.
