For those who are currently in the process of trying to rebuild their credit report. Listen, with patience and hard work it will pay off. My equifax credit score was 503, yesterday it went up 35 points so now i am at 538. I did this by disputing inaccurate information, and i also disputed charge off accounts that were paid off, and they were deleted as well. Manily because the collection agencies got their monay and did not respond. I know i have a long way to go with my scores but with patience and time it will eventually get to where i want it to be. So you do not need a credit repair, doing it yourself is free and a much better feeling than paying someone to do something you can do yourself. So good luck to eveyone out there who is currently working on the creit.

Thanks for posting.... I must admit, I have not even looked at my credit report for well over a year now. Mainly, because I know what I will see is going to make me sick to my stomach. My plan is to get my remaining two debts settled when I get the funds, and then focus on trying to clean up my credit report. I just don't see the point in attempting it while these debts are still looming.

Please keep us informed as to your progress with this, as your experience will be a help to others on here.

I agree with you Tiffany99, the last time I looked at my reports was earlier this year and it made me sick that's for sure. I agree it's not going to do any good until you can get the funds together to offer a settlement.

You are doing a great job shughes, keep up the good work.

everytime i look at my credit report, i get totally disgusted because it is my own fault. the last time i looked, it was 13 pages long and most of it was charge-offs that i have not paid. my nephew told me to just dispute them all and some should come off. my daughter, who worked at a collection agency said that if i did dispute them and the original company cannot come up with the original contract to prove that the account was mind, it can be taken off. i just might do that this weekend to see what happens.

Be carefull, if some of these debts are almost about to fall of the statute of limatations, you may not want to "re age" the debt by trying to get it removed. Someone with more infomation on this subject will be along shortly and in the meantime you might want to click on the "free consultation" button that is just to the right of this post where they can help you even more.

Good.gald to hear CR scores are going up. Mine went up a bit, taking care of debts one at a time and making regular payments on other things.

Don't give up Shughes! Little by little it will get better. Its certainly not an overnight thing.

The most important thing is that we've all seen what debt can do to us-emotionally, physically AND financially. We should learn from our mistakes & not go back there and in time we will all be on our feet again.

Keep up the good work & you'll see it pay off on your reports!
