I had a short sale and now my credit score is 745 but it shows key derogatory on the mortgage. What can I do to remove this? The bank has waived the difference already but reported the short sale. I have no other negative notes on my credit. I am planning to save and buy a new home.

Okay. But you can't remove it from your credit report. Sorry! This derogatory item will stay on your credit report for 7 years. But its impact on your score will decrease with time.

You have a fantastic credit score. Take out a secured credit card to build credit. Reduce your credit utilization ratio to boost your credit score.

It will stay on your report for the 7 years. Yes, Save as much as possible. At least try to save the down payment. Meanwhile use the credit card responsibly. Make sure you pay the bills in full and within the time.
