Just had 2 CA disputed and deleted from my credit...ITS GOING UP...

Yea, it's great. And the best thing was the one from NCO came off, b/c they couldn't validate it. Luckily I was in my storage building today and found an original letter from Capital One and the balance in 2005 was $765.59, and now NCO was saying it was $1472.93...They are ripping ppl off too...

Ashley, What was the best method of disputing? ONline or did you mail a letter? What reason did you give? I am disputing a lot of mine. My thinking is that even though a lot of the negative marks are mine, I've suffered enough with them, some because they are old and I wasn't savvy enough to know what to do, that I think they should come off of my credit report. It's not fair that they can update items and keep reporting. I have a few CC accounts from early 1990's that keep reporting negatively. I'm not really sure why and I'm trying to research that. But I disputed some and they came back either updated or remains.

I am sorry I missed the continuiance of this thread. i disputed online. the only thing I did have to do throught the mail because they wanted photocopies of my DL and other stuff was my disputes with inaccurate address and name stuff plus to get the three agencies to remove my fraud alerts

No problem. I don't think it really matters which method you choose. If you send a certified letter, then you have some kind of record. I disputed Experian and TransUnion online. They aren't going to lie about your dispute and the date. I just had a bunch of things removed from both reports which is good. Now here is a downside to disputing some items. If you don't want them to report new information, don't dispute. An example, my car was repossesed 2 years ago. I was able to get it back from the bank and reinstate the loan within a week. So in my excitment of disputing things and trying to raise my score, I disputed an item on that particular account. My credit reports at the time did not reflect the repo until I disputed and they updated the information. Now my credit report reflects that it was a repossession. Lesson learned the hard way.

I am getting statements from Chadwicks and I haven;t bought anything. It is now over $200.00. I am not going to pay it. I don;t owe it. I paid the 1st statement for shipping and I didn't owe that. Please don't send me another statement why are you all sending me a statement of nothing and adding tax to it. I lost my husband and I am on a very fixed income. Will you send this to whom ever should get it. My acct. Personal info deleted - ND

Verna this is public forum not Chadwicks. I would suggest you call the number on the statements you are receiving as it is apparent someone is using your account. Please call them today. Once again this is a Public Form that people post on looking for advice from others who have experienced a similar situation. Good luck to you and I sure hope you get this problem cleared up.
