Hi, new here and have been trying to figure out how to start repairing my credit and increase my credit score. I went through annualcreditreports and creditkarma and thanks for the suggestions on this site, it has been a lot of help so far.

There is one item specifically I am trying to figure out what to do and if anyone can give me some solid in depth advice it would be most appreciated.

In September of this year, I entered a stipulation of settlement for a judgement against me. Long story short......

I owed Discover Card X amount of dollars. Did not pay them. Account was charged off in April 2010 and sent to a debt collector, who happened to also be a law office. Sometime last year, my account had funds garnished, I'm not sure what this is called, but basically they got some kind of judgement to take money out of my account and did so. I entered an "order to show cause" claiming that I had never received any notice of this action. This was end of July 2012
Back to the beginning, in September 2012 I went back to court to deal with this, and the attorney for Plaintiff handed me affirmation in opposition. I later realized that this was supposed to have been mailed to me.
I ended up meeting my friend who works as an attorney in the same building as the proceedings, and I just wanted to settle the matter and get the hell out of there because it was taking so long. Sitting there for another 3 hours would not have been worth my time or money.
So I entered a stipulation of settlement with the attorney while the proceedings were going in Consumer Court in brooklyn (there are like 200 people there a day), and came to the stipulation that plaintiff was to keep $1000.00 of the funds previously garnished and that I was to receive a check within 30 days of the balance.

I checked my TransUnion report and it just shows Date Update as 2/8/12 and amount $1500, it does not show that it is paid nor that I filed an order to show cause nor that I entered into a stipulation.

My Experian report shows date resolved as NA and Judgement in favor of Discover Bank with claim amount of $1500.00

I know that there is missing information here but not sure what to report as incomplete. My goal is to get this public record removed off my report.

Is the best way to file a dispute as incomplete with Experian and TU ? Or should I try writing the Kings County Civil Court first.....? I'm pretty sure if I write Kings County, they will never get back to me about it.
