You can order a copy of your credit report if you’re a US citizen and now living abroad. To do so, send some personal information to the credit bureaus. You need to send your full name, date of birth, SSN, government-issued ID card, previous US address, and proofs of your current mailing address. Which credit bureau you choose to get the credit report? Is it Experian, Equifax or Transunion?
If it's "experian", being an US citizen you may need to send the above-mentioned documents (stated above by Good Nelly) to Experian, PO Box 2002, Allen, TX 75013.

You can get your credit reports from the 3 credit bureaus.

Do you have a US address? Are you in france permanently or temporarily? If you have a US address, simply google Free Yearly credit report. You do not have to be bothered with sending in anything...it can all be done online.
