time to report repo to credit breaur

leased a car 2006 lost job tried to turn in 3 mos later bank refused to work with me I turned it in and they just now put it om credit report is this right can i sue for untimely action
They can report for for up to 7 years....there is no legal requi
They can report for for up to 7 years....there is no legal requirement for them to report so if they choose to start now, they can...but they can only report for 7 years from the time of the repo?
How can you sue them? They are the injured party....you did a voluntary repo.
