Do the creditors run your credit report quite often? I am wondering if they only view your credit report at the time of forwarding you the loan or they run it time to time to see your performance with other creditors. If your report is viewed often, how does it affect your score?

Hi Guest, it completely depends on the creditor. However in case of reporting, the creditors can report any kind of changes or irregularities most frequently to the credit bureaus. Since much of changes don't take place in credit balances, the creditors generally report the CRAs once in a month or at longer periods.

Usually, the three major credit reporting bureaus update your credit 4 times a year, but it can also get updated instantly when the creditors report the info to them. Moreover, viewing of credit report doesn't affect your score.
