reporting a debt twice after being on report for 7 years already

I had a timeshare that was listed as a debt on my credit report for seven years. It is off now. However, the Company has went out of business and sold it to another Company. I have been getting bills but they haven't put anything on my credit reports. Are they able to list it again after the original debt went the distance of seven years?
