Co on credit report

I have a CO on my Credit Report for Capitiol One. The account was placed with Resurgent Capital Services. I have been paying Resurgent through my Debt Counseling company.
Can I get my credit report to report this and put a PP on my credit report instead of CC?
Would it even help my score??

The report would be updated once the account is paid. Your score
The report would be updated once the account is paid. Your score too would improve with time though you would be disappointed if you are expecting an immediate change.
