I am disputing some entries with RJM Acquisitions. I sent them a debt validation letter which they did receive nearly 30 days ago. However, they are not showing "Disputed" on the accounts that I am inquiring about on my credit reports.
Are they allowed to do this or is this some violation?

If you want to dispute certain entries in your credit report, you need to dispute it with the credit bureaus. The credit bureau would do the investigation and remove the entries eventually if they are wrong.
i am having the same problem and its been over 90 days.

We never heard of this RJM company until today when we received an envelope sent to someone using our address. We had to find out about them and located your website.
We will take the envelope to our Post Master, but hope we never hear from them again after all the terrible things they have been stated as doing to consumers. Are we in danger of harassment?

The easiest way to reach the credit bureaus is to go on their website. Experian.com, trans-union's site or Equifax's website....you have to register with them and pay a minimal fee but it is worth it. I joined Experian.com about 3 months ago, i pay $7.95 a month, but i can run a report everyday if I want, I can dispute entries, and they are very good at getting results for me within 2 weeks of the dispute. They have helped me remove 6 negative entries from my report and raise my score from a 576 to 640 in 3 months!!!!!

You can also obtain a free credit report from each of the credit bureaus once per year at annualcreditreport.com. You can dispute entries on your credit report via the web or you can do it in writing by sending a letter.
