So I got my free annual credit report from Experian the other day that said my score was 619. After reading some info from some others on here I signed up for Experian's triple advantage.....now it say my score is down to 606 which is weird in itself and I'm wondering why.

The real question though is upon seeing my scores from Equifax and Trans Union...they are MUCH lower. both of them have me rated at 548. Why is there so much of a variance in scores between the 3 and why would my credit score drop from 619-606 in just a few days? Is this something I should be alarmed about? On my transunion report there is an issue that I have decided to dispute because I believe it to be innacurate, but it is only on the TransUnion report.

I have seen the same thing and am curious too. My score has gone from 520 in September to anywhere between 600 to 671. I did a Transunion 3 score and my Equifax was 570, out of curiosity, and within minutes, I went to Equifax website and ordered their score and got a 635. It is strange indeed. If anyone has a clue as to why this happens, I would like to know too.

Credit bureaus handle zillions of consumer files. The bureaus don't share information with each other. Call the credit bureau and ask why your scores have suddenly changed when you owe no debts.

The creditor makes the choice about which credit bureau he will be reporting your file. That is why the report from one bureau doesn't match with the other. You have to call the individual bureau and notify about the change in your scores. They will check your file and do the changes if it is an error on their part.
