So many questions!

I have some debts that are approaching their SOL within the next few months (its going to be almost 4 years, which is the SOL in my state).
What course of action should I take?
Should I do a PfD ?
Would it help my credit score/report?
Also, the OCs have marked them as charge offs. Is there anything that can be done about those?
TIA!

Or do I have a better chance of pfd after the sol have run out?
Please advise.
