SOL and relocation

I have an old debt reported as charged off back in 2002 or 2003. It still shows up as a charge off today and I still get collection letters for it. Is it going to fall off the credit reports after 7 years of no activity? Also, I live in Colorado now with a 6 year SOL but the charge off was reported when I lived in Ohio, which I understand has a 15 year SOL. If they decided to pursue this in court, would the Ohio or Colorado SOL apply?

As far as I know, the SOL applies to the state you live in and so the SOL for your debt is 6 years and so it is about to expire on 2010. However, the negative listing will stay in your report for seven years from the date of your delinquency.
