I had got a traffic violation ticket back in 2003. Ofcourse, I had forgotten all about it till yesterday when I was contacted by a debt collector who is now trying to collect on it. Since, the account is quite old, I was just wondering if it is still legal for the collection agency to collect it. Is there any statute of limitation on this?

Well Guest, as far as my knowledge is concerned, the CA can carry on with collection efforts even after the statute of limitation has expired, but they can't take any legal action against you.
