How Long Does It Take for Experian To Correct A Disputed Item?

I checked my credit report with Experian and found two items to dispute. Since Capital One took over HSBC, I now have one card listed twice on my credit report which caused my credit score to drop by 30 points. This is one item I disputed and there's a closed credit card account still listed on my credit report that was discharged in Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2005.

Any idea how long it would take Experian to fix these disputed items?

The items will not be removed from your credit report if they are being reported correctly. Bankruptcy will be there on your credit report for 10 years at least. It will be there on your credit report till 2015.

I didn't say anything about my bankruptcy being reported incorrectly. Did I?

What's being listed incorrectly is a card that's being listed as a closed account that was discharged under Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2005. Also there's also an open acount that's being listed twice as two open accounts, once as an HSBC credit card and once as a Capital One Credit card.

Thanks for your input Mr. Barris. At least someone's paying attention to what I actually write.
