Finding old debt from another name

Hello.
Some years ago I have accrued a significant amount of debt under an old name. Primarily with credit cards taken out from two banks.
I changed my name a few years ago to detach myself from any religious identification my old one had, and for the life of me, experian, equifax can not find any debt under that name, or my social security. I am currently dealing with debt i am trying to pay off.
My question is, how do gain knowledge of all the bills I owe, etcc under my old name? I want to settle with these people so in the future if I need credit my chances would greatly improve.

How many years ago was this? The debt is probably out of SOL and if it was more than 7 years ago has fallen off your report.
Paying a collection account wont help your credit and if it more than 7 years, they cant report anyways. In other words, move on...the debt is part of your past.
