Equifax Won't Remove My Ex name~I'm Divorced

I got divorced in 1996. I dumped my married name, immediately. I have applied for credit or used my ex name in almost 14 years. Equifax won't remove it. They have me listed like this:

Jane Doe-Jones My name is only Jane Doe!!!!!
