Deleted my Credit History for a Credit Card!

I am not in debt, but recently transunion sent a letter to my credit card company (accidentally) stating that someone fraudulently applied for my 2 year old credit card (and that it wasn't me). In response, my card was PERMANENTLY CLOSED due to a "fraud app" and I was told it can NEVER be reopened. I've tried to get this straightened out and have taken it up to executive customer service @ my bank and have had a transunion rep get on the line with an executive customer service agent and explain the situation and how it was accidental, never meant to be sent, etc. They haven't done a thing about it and it just recently (the 2 year old account..my first credit card ever) fell off my credit report and was replaced by another account they opened for me.
Is there anyway I can get around this? I've pretty much talked to corporate at BOTH companies and I'm getting sick of this and sick of being told nothing can be done. My date opened is not 2 years old and my goal was to BUILD credit not have it taken away from me! I would really like that to appear or even merge with my new credit card #. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

I'm not sure if there is any way to get around this. It was a blunder on Transunion's part and they should take the steps to restore it. Have you tried disputing with the CRA?
