Collection Accounts Paid, CR Not Updated

I need a little assistance I paid off some old collection accounts and the agency's are not sending me a recpt of paid accounts as proof but its already been taken out of my checking acct with conf #'s. What can I do to get them to update the CR as paid and 0 balance? Can I send a DV and just hope for the best?

Send the collection agency a letter 'reminding' them of their obligation to update the account. Also mention that not updating the account is misreporting the debt and a violation of your rights.
When they get the letter (send it certified return receipt) then dispute the account with the credit reporting agencies. If they come back verified and/or do not get updated, you have them on a solid violation and have some negotiating power to possibly force them to remove the account all together or face getting sued.
