I have repeatedly tried to get Balley Total Fitness off of my credit report. All three have been talked to and I even had an attorney on the case. Balley's agreed that the case was bogus as I had a contract that was a family plan. I had to leave their facilities due to health reasons and sent them a doctor's note accordingly. They agreed to let me out of the contract. I received a letter stating this fact and then three months later they sent me a bill for $588. I sent it to my attorney who showed them that once they cancelled the plan for me the rest was null and void as it was a family plan. It still shows up on my credit report as not paid, and sold to another company. I feel they sold it illegally since there was nothing to sell! The credit agencies consulted with Bally found what I said was true but it is still on my report! How do I get it off my reports as it is hurting my credit!

Ok so basically you disputed the account on your credit reports? Does the reports list them as disputed? If the CRAs found the accounts to be false, they should have removed them so I am not sure what is up with that. Try sending a letter to them asking why the account is still listed when their reinvestigation found the account to be false. See what they respond with. You may even be able to call them and ask them why it is still on there.

Yes I talked to the reporting acencies. Someone told me that it takes 6 months for them to remove stuff from your credit reports. Is this true? And if so why? I mean all they have to do is to go to their computers and put it in as paid not owing. And yes I disputed this several times and my attorney has as well, but it's still showing up on my credit report!
