Authorized user on a credit card

I am an authorized user on one of my Mom's credit cards. The card is showing up on my credit report. I would like to have this off my report as its got a high limit, and its often close to being maxed out. If I am no longer an authorized user (she cancels my card), I should be able to have this off my report, right?
call the credit card company and make sure they have removed you
call the credit card company and make sure they have removed your name. just beacuse your card is cancelled doesnt mean your name is still on the account. if that doesnt work try disputing it through the credit bureau. i know it takes the bureau a little bit of time to update so if your card was just cancelled recently it might not be updated with the bureaus yet.

Your payment history and activity on the card (currently) will still show on your report for up to 7 1/2 years, even after you've closed the account and/or removed yourself from the account. It's still part of your credit history.
