My date of birth is wrong on my credit report. It shows me as 20 days younger. should I dispute it or leave it alone.

Definitely get in touch with the credit bureaus on this one, and make sure you check ALL THREE REPORTS to be sure the correct information is reflected.

You may have to actually call them to do it - I found I had TWO social security numbers on my credit report - one was mine and one was my ex-husband's, and we've been divorced for over 8 years! Not to mention there were about 15 different versions of my name on the report, due to misspellings and errors made by creditors reporting to the bureaus. There were also several different versions of my past addresses.

I tried to dispute these things online, but I kept receiving an error that said I had to contact them by phone. I did, and after spending about 7 minutes on hold, I spent the next 10 disputing the inaccurate information - all was removed within a month.

So my daughter applied for a credit card and put down her wrong DOB while she was under 18. Now its on her credit report as an incorrect DOB. Then I found out she had used but has paid it responsibly! Now she is 18, can she get into trouble by telling the credit card company and having the DOB changed on her credit report?
