I am struggling to confirm that a judgment on my public records page of my credit report is valid. I don't remember the debt. I am unaware of having received a court summons or a bill before it was sent to the Palisades Collection agency.

Palisades was unable to locate the account and in response to my DV letter they referred me to their lawyers. I sent a DV letter request to the lawyers and am awaiting a response. I went to the county clerk database and found judgments against my two brothers and father, but nothing in my name. I am going to request the other two credit bureau reports to see if it appears on those. Any other suggestions? I will move to dispute this in writing if I exhaust all efforts to confirm it is mine.

You should try to dispute it with your credit report(s). Also call the court house and see if anything was ever filed against you. If there hasn't then it should fall off of your credit report. If it doesn't then you will need to find out who has the judgment.

Also another possibility is that if you ever lived in a different state, the debt collector could have filed a lawsuit there and got the judgment. Sometimes they know you don't live there anymore and know they will win and that a default judgment can hurt your credit. So if that's the case, call the court house in another state if you in fact lived in one or different jurisdiction.
