Wrong SSN linked and no credit card still have credit delinquises

HI
I use to Visit USA for 2 yrs on a contract off on basic...i had a SSN but didnot have a credit card...Now i have come down to US to get settled here. so I tried to buy a house.and those guys ran a credit report for me and found that there was some another SSn linked with my SSN and that there was some collection pending on this unknown SSN..what do i do? this is a new country and i am not very much sure abt the laws and ways to handle it.

Sounds like you have a merged file. File disputes with the 3 cr
Sounds like you have a merged file. File disputes with the 3 credit reporting agencies and send them proof of your ID. A copy of your ID and SS card.
