This company has never contacted me regarding any debt. I placed a dispute notice with the credit reporting agency and intend on sending them a registered letter.
At this point is there anything else I should be doing?

Concerning the CB....the CB can take up to 30 days to 'investigate' your dispute. I BELIEVE they will send you a letter via regular mail..then you can see what's going on with it. Do you know if the SOL is close to 'dropping off'? (In my personal experience, anyway) if the 'dropp off' date is close, then I would just leave it alone. If you continute to pay on it, there is a chance you can 're-start' the debt. If this happens, the SOL won't end until 7-10 years after you made the payment to 're-start' it. I think you should just wait for the 'investigation' to end...for now, anyway. Hope this was clear. Please let me know what happens.
If you make a payment, you will re-start the SoL clock.
