They are now in Delaware
Thanks, Roadwarrior - it seems they have moved to Delaware - it comes up on the 1800899CASH as "Frascella Enterprises of Delaware." Apparently this has made them so much money the bankruptcy didn't deter them from doing it all over again. I have learned a LOT in these last 24 hours thanks to people like you and I am greatful. I have an appointment today with a credit counselor to start on my road to debt recovery and (sigh) relief!

Actually, only one Frascella company was sued (not the Delware company), in only one state (PA) and the lawsuit is still pending. (A motion to compel arbitration is pending.)The company Roadwarrior is talking about was a Pennsylvania storefront chain that did bank model loans for County Bank. The chain went bankrupt after County Bank stopped making payday loans. (PA doesn't authorize direct storefront lending.) The Delaware company is a licensed lender in Delaware and wasn't affected by the bankruptcy filing.
Seeing as "Frascella Enterprises of Delaware" appears right on 1800899CASH's home page, I don't see how the company is hiding from anyone under any assumed names. Does the Southland Corporation's use of the trade name "7-11" for its convenience stores mean its hiding?

Besides, online lenders that are hiding usually don't join the BBB and local chamber of commerce. Whatever you think of pdls, the Frascellas are pretty good guys. A couple of years ago they put up $75,000 to fund a gun buyback program run by Men United for a Better Philadelphia. They also underwrote a youth football league in West Philly and put up the reward when a 10 year-old was killed in a gang shooting last year. A while back, the city council honored them for their contributions to the city. Most of their stores are closed now, though, except a couple of check cashing locations. When County stopped making loans, the company shut down all their payday loan storefronts and filed Chapter 11.
