Gee, check this out. I had a loan that I needed to pay off with Little Loan Shoppe. (MY LAST ONE..YIPPEE..) I had sent them a money order for $31.25 and I still owed them $68.75. Well, I called in today to get the balance to see if it was the same as mine, and they said yes. But the strange thing is the lady asked me about sending my settlement emails and said that I took the loan out while I lived in Utah. Keep in mind that I have lived in NC my entire life. And then she goes on to tell me that the address that I sent my other pmt to (Nevada address) is not working and they have a new one (Utah address). Does that sound kinda strange or what??

The loan was done over the internet. Then the lady goes on to ask me when NC changed their laws and I told her that PDL sunset in 2001. She said that they didn't have internet access to loan in 2001, and then I continued on to tell her that my loan wasn't in 2001. She kept putting me on hold, and I think that she was getting the words from someone else..

Pdls are illegal in NC. They cannot add charges on your account. You are aware of your outstanding balance, right. If they are asking you to send the payment to Utah address, give a try. They should not process your payment sent to the NV address. I will first get something in writing from the company before writing a new check.

I am not writing them a check. I don't have a checking account b/c of PDL companies. Well, the amount of the original loan was $100. I mailed them a payment for $31.25, so yea, that's right. I told the lady that the only way I would send the pmt was by money order, I don't think she liked it, but she will take it or do without. I emailed them like 17 times with the settlement letter including laws for NC and they just keep on. So I am gonna pay them and then hound them to death for a PIF letter...
