I wasn't able to find a thread about Unifund. But I did Google Unifund and found this site:

(Hope that doesn't get blocked) I've never heard of Budd Hibbs, but he's one of the good guys who wants to get rid of bad debt collectors. He has contact info on his site, so you might contact him and see if he knows.
