Is it true that is a collection company/attorney is based in one state, they can not sue you in another?

I know the collector can sue in other state also, provided they have a legitimate license there. collection agencies must be licensed in the borrower's state before attempting collections and pursuing legal actions.

I know right now there is a particular case of a payday company that is turning around and suing the state. They will try anything. It is going to be interesting to see the outcome of that one. Kyside38
