i owe a pay day loan company and received a pressured call

Hi Worried - welcome. What state do you live in? What pdls do you have? Are they internet or storefront? If you give us more info we will be able to help you better. It is not a crime and don't fall for that bs from the collector.

And they will tell you anything, short of saying they are coming to arrest your mother, to get you to pay up. You have the right to have this validated, and ask for a debt validation letter.

They cannot arrest you for defaulting on a payday loan. If they could, many of us would still be in jail to this day - most of us are here because of debt issues that came from payday loans.

Also, if you can give us the information that irish51cc requested above, we can help you out with some advice. We'll need to know what company you are dealing with, what state you're in (because the laws are different in each state regarding payday loans), how much your loans were and how much you've paid on them, and whether they are internet or storefront loans.

And if you do give a payment-----do not, do not, DO NOT give them anything with your bank information on it, as that brings up a whole new set of problems. If you already have you might be wise to close the account or stop debits from this company.

I live in louisiana. I seemed to have gotten myself in trouble trying to keep myself out of trouble with these crazy payday loans. I stopped payments on all of them at the bank. I owe these people but just don't have the money to keep paying them the renewal fees, and don't have the money to pay them off. What can I do? I have consolidated my credit cards but they would not take the payday loans. Help!!! I feel so stupid for getting myself in the condition.

how much debited by each
internet or storefront

you said you paid the renewal fee.if these places are not legal and if they are internet most likely they are. those fees go towards the loan.if they are illegal you only owe the principle borrowed.all fees go towards the loan.please provide the information requested.we can help you here.

Are you kidding me? They came to your house? Don't quote me on this but I don't think they're allowed to do that.

Just so you know, I had over 20 internet payday loans 3 years ago. I stumbled upon this site and it helped me get out of the mess. There are alot of good people on here.

Here's the other thing. They will try to scare you with the whole bounced check thing, by law you have not committed a crime.

Let me first say I dont agree with their tactics, but they are within the law as the OC to come to your home. I have read other posts about this and they can do it. In fact it is usually the store front manager that knocks on your door. I dont think they should be allowed to do it but they do.

When you mentioned you had 20 internet payday loans? I was wondering how did you manage to bounce back? I live in florida and I currently have 4 internet payday loans and I recently defaulted on them and i've been receiving calls from them left and right. what should I do?

i want to find out who i owe money to with these payday loans, i have lost my paper work and have not payed these people back, and they are calling from some foriegn contry andcal like 5 times aday then threatend me, i have to go to court and other legal matters, how do i know they are lagit, all the loans i have gotten where on the internet.
